Who we are

About Holt Robotics

Holt Robotics connects students with hands-on experiences in engineering, programming, design, teamwork, and leadership through FIRST Robotics.

Our purpose

Building more than robots.

Robotics gives students something real to build, problems worth solving, and a team that depends on them.

Holt Robotics gives students opportunities to explore science, technology, engineering, and mathematics through hands-on projects and competition. Along the way, students learn how to communicate, collaborate, lead, adapt, and turn ideas into something that works.

Our goal is to create a welcoming robotics community where students can find their place, develop new skills, take on responsibility, and continue growing throughout their time in Holt Public Schools.

What matters to us

The skills behind the robot matter just as much as the robot itself.

01

Learn by doing.

Students work on real challenges where designing, building, programming, testing, and improving are part of the learning process.

02

Build together.

Robotics requires students with different interests and skills to work toward one shared goal.

03

Grow as leaders.

Students are encouraged to take ownership, communicate ideas, teach others, and become leaders within their teams.

04

Make room for everyone.

There is more to robotics than engineering. Programming, design, fabrication, strategy, media, outreach, organization, and leadership all contribute to a successful team.

A connected program

A place to grow from first build to FRC.

Holt Robotics supports multiple FIRST programs so students can take on increasingly complex challenges as they gain experience.

It takes a community

Students build the robots. A community builds the program.

Students

Students are at the center of Holt Robotics. They design, build, program, document, organize, compete, and help shape the culture of their teams.

Coaches & mentors

Coaches and mentors provide guidance, technical experience, and support while helping students become increasingly independent.

Families & boosters

Families and boosters help make the program possible through volunteering, fundraising, event support, transportation, and countless hours behind the scenes.

Sponsors & community

Community partners and sponsors provide resources, expertise, and opportunities that allow students to take on ambitious projects.
